After a review by the National Assembly and the Senate, the 2017 regulations law was adopted and promulgated on 11 December 2018 by the President of the Republic of Cameroon, Paul Biya.

The settlement law is the law establishing the last executed finance law. In this respect, it shall adopt the results of the budgetary and general accounts for the financial year in question and give discharge to the Government and make any changes to the appropriations that may prove necessary.
