The Directorate General of the Budget of Cameroon is one of the four directorates general set up by Decree No. 2005/119 of 15 April 2005 to organize the Ministry of the Economy and Finance. It replaced the Budget Department of the former Ministry of Finance and Budget set up by Decree 2003/165 of 30 June 2003 to organize the Ministry of Finance and Budget. This name was maintained with the decree N°2013/066 of 28 February 2013 to organize the Ministry of Finance, which did not really amend its missions.
