For several years, the Republic of Cameroon has embarked on a wide-ranging reform of Public Finance Management culminating in the adoption of Act No. 2007/006 of 26 December 2007 on the State Financial Regime (LRFE) . The conduct of these reforms was carried out by the General Directorate of Budget (DGB) of MINFI, the structure in charge of the implementation of the Government’s budgetary policy.
Although these reforms have been fully implemented since January 2013, it is nevertheless important to underline that raising awareness and informing the various players in the public spending chain on this new way of managing remains one of the challenges to be met.
It is urgent and necessary for the DGB to develop a genuine instrument for institutional communication and information, enabling the widest range of information and services to be grouped in a single place and accessible from everywhere for public officials, taxpayers and donors.
Thus, the setting up of a web portal within the DGB is a major task to be carried out in this broad process of public finance reforms in Cameroon, as it will improve access to administrative services via the Internet without, however, move
